Join Miss Kat in celebrating St. Patrick’s Day at the library with some Folklore Friends! In this month’s magical “Hearts & Crafts” workshop, kiddos will use their own handprints to create little gnomes & leprechauns inspired by classic folklore. With bright paints, customizable details, and a pinch of luck, each child will design their very own “fae friend” to take home!

Perfect for young artists of all ages who love a little mess and a lot of imagination!

For this “Hearts & Crafts” with Miss Kat event, kiddos are invited to release their very own rainbow from their fingertips, with a pot o'gold at the end of it! Perfect for all ages (accommodations always available), this is a fun, hands-on way to celebrate the magic of March!

*Miss Kat will also be collecting donations of non-perishable/dry goods, school supplies, and toiletries at this event to benefit the Newburgh Community Fridge & Pantry!

This workshop is designed with artists in mind: dynamic stances, expressive silhouettes, and playful interactions with props that invite you to study gesture, texture, composition, and storytelling through a fantasy-inspired figure. Never been here? Never fear! Artists of all skill levels & experience are welcome and encouraged to attend. Come revel in the joy of creative costuming, nerd out over (BIG) little details, and connect with fellow artists who love blending technical practice with a sense of whimsy. Whether you’re here to hone your skills, try something new, or just escape into a little fantasy fun, this fairy’s quest has room for you!

The Alluring Drawing Affair known as “Sketch & Burlesque” is BACK at Unicorn Bar for another night of compelling creativity. Mx. Kat brings arcane artistry to the stage as your Emcee, alongside our returning Mystical Muse, 99!

This entertaining & immersive sensual sketching session invites artists of ALL levels to explore their creativity alongside their community. No pressure, no pretension— NO perfection expected. Grab a drink, a pencil, and a friend (or a few!) to enjoy a fun, flirty space where everyone is given the opportunity for creative expression.

ALL Experience Levels are welcome! Come test out a new medium and learn a new skill set, or return to a form of art and expression previously left in your childhood. Community materials will be provided, but patrons are welcome and encouraged to bring their own materials and current works-in-progress as well. The instructor will be available throughout the event to provide group and individual guidance, answer questions, and chat about your favorite artists and authors! There will be hot tea to share!
